Party Wall Services
We provide Party Wall services in accordance with the Party Wall etc. Act 1996, supporting building works that affect shared or adjoining structures.
Our role is to guide clients through the process clearly and efficiently, helping to ensure works can proceed while protecting the interests of all parties.
When the Party Wall Act Applies
The Party Wall Act may apply where proposed works affect:
- A shared wall between properties (party wall)
- A wall on the boundary line
- Excavation near neighbouring structures
- Structural alterations such as wall removals or extensions
If you are unsure whether the Act applies, we can advise at an early stage.
Our Services
We provide Party Wall services for both Building Owners and Adjoining Owners, including:
- Advice on Party Wall matters and obligations
- Preparation and service of Party Wall notices
- Acting as Agreed Surveyor where appropriate
- Acting on behalf of either owner where separate surveyors are required
- Preparation of Party Wall Awards
- Schedule of Condition reports
Our approach is pragmatic and proportionate, with a focus on resolving matters efficiently.
Working Alongside Structural Design
Party Wall matters are often linked to structural works such as:
- Loadbearing wall removals
- Extensions and new openings
- Loft conversions
- Excavation for new foundations
Where we are also providing structural design, we can coordinate both aspects to ensure a joined-up approach.
